Admission Requirements

Admission to Diploma Programs
 
Admission may be gained by meeting criteria set by the Department of Labour and Advanced Education and the Private Career Colleges Regulation Act in Nova Scotia. Accordingly, students may be eligible for student loans and skills development funds.
 
Admissions Prerequisites
 
A.    To apply for diploma programs for career purposes, applicants must have:
a.    High school diploma, GED or have a mature student status as defined by the Department of Labour and Advanced Education
b.    The financial resources to complete the program
c.    A sincere interest in acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the healing profession
 
B.    A completed application must include:
a.    A completed and signed application form
b.    An official copy of your high school transcript or diploma (for a mature student: a resume is required, proof of ID, and three references)
c.    An entrance essay:
 i.    Why do you want to learn acupuncture, acupressure, TCM? Include your professional goals
 ii.   How did you learn about CCATCM and the program?
 iii.  Why do you wish to attend CCATCM?
 iv.  What will you contribute to CCATCM’s learning environment?
d.    Successful admissions interview
e.    A cheque to CCATCM for the $100 application fee (non-refundable)
 
C.    Upon acceptance into a program, students must submit:
a.     A $500 registration fee (non-refundable, to be credited against tuition if accepted into the program)
 
 
International students
 
Canada has one of the highest standards of living in the world. We invite you to experience all Canada has to offer during your program. International students now complete the same application process as Canadian students, however, the international application fee is $400 (non-refundable).

Students are responsible for fees associated with the translation of their documents (if necessary).
